Who We Are

The Georgia Chemistry Council (GCC) represents a diverse set of companies engaged in the business of chemistry, the third largest manufacturing industry in Georgia at $15.5B. The business of chemistry is a dynamic enterprise, utilizing innovation to drive the economy and job creation, providing around 70,000 jobs to Georgians. Our mission is to represent our members under the Gold Dome using top top-notch advocacy, member engagement, and sharp communication.

What We Do

The GCC is actively involved in the political arena. During the Georgia General Assembly, the GCC provides daily monitoring and engagement. Throughout the year, the GCC tracks legislative and regulatory issues.

The GCC provides essential and timely information to the industry through a variety of different formats:

  • Weekly electronic updates during the legislative session and monthly updates throughout the year.
  • www.georgiachemistry.com provides an online archive of valuable information and details on upcoming events and meetings.
  • Legislative Action Alerts offer the opportunity for members to engage in direct communication with their elected officials regarding important issues.

The GCC brings the industry together to share best management practices and gather valuable ideas, both of which are key to being responsive to the industry’s needs. The GCC hosts local area district meetings and the Annual Meeting to create a casual environment in which industry colleagues may informally network.
